A great deal of research has been devoted to the treatment of cancer in the last 60 years. High tech treatments are now being developed which can increase survival rates and reduce the terrible side effects of the highly toxic drugs and radiation which are the foundations of most medical cancer treatments. New surgical techniques including arthroscopic have greatly aided doctors in removing tumors. Indeed, medical science has every reason to be both proud and optimistic about the prospects of cancer treatment in the 21st Century.

Secrets to Understanding and Healing Cancer: Prostate & Colon Cancers: Article 2

In the first article in this series we examined the underlying cause of the current pandemic of breast cancer, and how hypnosis can assist in healing this disease. This article will tackle the cause of two other pandemic forms of cancer, cancer of the prostate and colon cancer. Scientists have determined that prostate cancer is an epidemic so vast that nearly one autopsy in two of older men reveals the presence of this cancer. Fortunately, this cancer is usually so slow growing that most men die of other causes, even as the cancer grows slowly within the prostate gland. Yet deaths by prostate cancer and the debilitating effects of prostate surgery still affect thousands of families today. In addition, nonmalignant enlargement of the prostate afflicts millions of American men with such symptoms as painful and frequent urination. "On the evening before my thirty-seventh birthday, I found myself in a great deal of pain which lead me to the emergency room of Marin General Hospital. When a tumor of unknown origin was found to be the cause of the pain, everything in my life began to change. The prognosis was not good. I was told that the tumor had to be removed. Many folks have the mistaken impression that cancer is a dangerous enemy that rarely strikes, but when it does so, it attacks with rapid and lethal power. In fact, researchers agree that cancer cells emerge in our bodies all the time, and are the result of simple errors in the reproduction of normal body cells. In most cases, cells of the immune system, which are well programmed to spot such aberrations, destroy these cancerous cells before they have time to do lasting harm. Scientists believe that a cancerous cell becomes dangerous only when physical irritants like cigarette smoke in the lungs create a large number of distorted and polluted cells, similar to scar tissue, and sometimes called squamous cells. The immune system cells in this mess of scar tissue and smoke cease to recognize the first cancer cells in this toxic clutter, and in time it’s too late for the immune system to destroy them without medical help.
